About

I trained as a fine artist at The Byam Shaw School of Art, spending much of my time in the sculpture department where I learnt to weld and forge metal. Later, whilst living in Mexico I spent several months studying the traditional techniques of silversmithing and wax carving.

In 1994 I returned to London to set up a studio and soon became drawn to working with gold for its purity, warmth and healing properties.

I create hand sculpted organic forms in wax which are then cast into 18 carat gold. My chains are hand crafted, one link at a time.

My jewellery is designed for everyday wear with the intention of creating timeless, classic and understated pieces. My aesthetic is one of simplicity, I find beauty in the irregularities that make each piece unique.

I am influenced by my childhood spent in Greece, the precious icons found in Orthodox churches, the ancient Greek gold pieces in museums and Cycladic stone sculptures. The sculpture of Hepworth and Brancusi, the jewellery of Alexander Calder and the purity of form of Vivianna Torun’s work are also a constant source of inspiration to me.

I work with recycled gold, responsibly sourced diamonds, precious stones and pearls.
